Wall soundproofing for serious neighbor noise

The key was identifying how the sound was travelling. In this home, the shared wall and internal structure were letting vibration pass through more than the homeowners realised. The noise wasn’t just “loud” it was transferring through the building fabric, which is why it felt constant and hard to ignore. We designed a bespoke wall soundproofing system specifically for the existing wall structure, focusing on mass, isolation, and absorption working together. The soundproofing system was designed specifically for the existing wall construction, accounting for wall thickness, fixing points, and room usage. No off-the-shelf kit was used.
All work was carried out while the homeowners continued living in the property. Installation was planned to minimise mess, noise, and downtime.
